Installing an Android APK
- “.apk” is the file format for an Android app.
- In most versions of Android, you need to go to Settings > Security and check Unknown Sources to allow your phone to install apps from sources other than the Google Play Store.
- If the app is downloaded, you will be able to see it on the top bar of your device. Click the message to install it.
- If there is no message, or you removed the message, you can still find the file in the Download folder. You can find the folder by looking in your apps list for either ‘Files’, ‘File Manager’ or ‘Documents’, depending on your Android device.
